The TravelMate 3210 series is based on the new Intel “Sonoma” platform. The characteristics of this latest Intel Mobile Centrino technology are the combination of the new Mobile Intel 915PGM/PM Express chipset and the Intel Pentium M processor, and Wireless connectivity through the Inte PRO/Wireless 2200BG network connection chipset featuring the IEEE 802.11b/g dual-mode WiFI Certified standard.
The integrated optical drive is a DVD-Super Multi burner and the TravelMate 3210 notebooks also are supplied with a 5-in-1 card reader that supports Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), xD-Picture Card (XD), Memory Stick (MS) and Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO) formats.
The TravelMate 3210 is fully equipped for exceptional multimedia performance, including a luminous 14.1” WXGA active matrix TFT display (1280×800), Intel 915GM integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 and up to 128 MB of shared memory or, depending on models, an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 graphics card with 64MB dedicated video memory and DualView support allowing the LCD display and an external CRT monitor to be used simultaneously. In addition to MPEG-2/DVD hardware support and the S-video out (NTSC/PAL) the TravelMate 3210 also supports MS-Sound and Intel AC97 audio and comes with two integrated stereo speakers.
